First Fire of the Season

Well, it's November and yet it still doesn't quite feel like fire season (at least not here in the desert).  But that doesn't stop Vern...nothing stops Vern- not when fire is involved. You should see the size of his fires. We are lucky there's a fire extinguisher close by (a must have when married to a Mackey!!).  

As Close As Brothers Could Be (or should be)

I was glad that Jake reminded me of this moment.  He probably forgot that I had pictures...hahaha!!  Jake & Orrin came up for Dental School interviews at UNLV.  We had a lot of fun having them here and only wished they could have brought their families with them.  Maybe next time they come up...like for dental school (we can wish, right!!).  Either way- we loved our night of cuddliscious fun watching "Survivor Man".  Good times!!

Mullet-Free...Finally

Hannah has been Queen of the Mullet ever since she had hair. I had already cut it once and was hoping that it might grow evenly from that point. But on our last visit to AZ, everyone kept commenting on her mullet. And I just couldn't have any of that...nobody (girl or boy) deserves the mullet. So the day after we came home from AZ, the mullet was chopped and thrown in the trash. We hope it may never return!

Halloween

I'm a little late posting Halloween pics, but they are too cute not to (I wish I had taken more!!). Tyler was Superman, and so of course Hannah had to be WonderWoman. It was lots of fun figuring out how to make her costume without a pattern. The boots were a bit tricky and didn't even make it through the night...but they were cute while they lasted. And Vern mastered the Superman hairdo for Tyler (I knew that super-long hair of his would come in handy for something!!). Tyler had fun trunk-or-treating, but once Hannah got a few peices of candy, she was ready to retire and enjoy her spoils. All together...a pretty fun night!!
